Early Years Numeracy
Small Numerical Rods
The rods show the smallest to largest rod: smallest representing one and largest representing ten. They come in two colours, red and blue and ie. the number 2 rod painted red and blue and number 1 rod added together would be the same in size as the number 3 rod.
They teach the child dimensions by comparison and can be used to show addition in number work as well.
Two sets of ten small wooden rods divided into units by alternating colours of red and blue. The rods are constant in height and width (1cm) while graduated in length from 2.5cm to 25cm. The rods are presented in a wooden box that includes one set of wooden number tiles 1-10.
